Founded in 1986 by wedding photographer Gary Woods following his sucessful graduation with a BA (Hons) in Photography and then a number of years working in advertising and audio-visual photography in London.
Originally based in Southend, Essex, Woodentop Photography soon established a name in providing reliable wedding and social photographic imagery at a fair price.
In 2005 Woodentop Photography relocated to Chelmsford, in order to better cover the whole of Essex. The business has continued to grow since switching from film to digital imaging in 2006.
